the story
My name is Charlotte, and I graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2018. I have a broad knowledge base, having worked in general and referral practice, charity and emergency clinics.
I worked in the UK for 6 years before moving to New Zealand in 2024 and fell in love with the diverse landscape of the Waitākeres where I call home today. I live with my partner, Elliot, our dog, Abby, cat, Lois, and 3 chooks. I am happiest when spending time with family either in the bush or the garden.
I am passionate about providing the best care possible for people and their pets, as well as well as promoting education and partnership between pet owners and vets. During the covid-19 pandemic, I experienced firsthand the associated economic and social challenges that affected the veterinary industry, as well as people on the whole. Compounding this, in recent years, there has been a shortage of vets, and increasing numbers of corporate acquisitions. Because of these challenges, I believe now it is more important than ever for us to re-enforce that trust and compassion we share for our furry companions, from the ground up.
That is why I started Waitākere Home Vet in 2025.
